Dear Friend,

Did you know that over 70% of all teeth lost are the result of untreated gum conditions like gingivitis?

Itís unfortunate that so many people are losing teeth to gum disease ñ especially considering that it IS possible to prevent this from happening!

You see, while many people complain of having sensitive gums, very few realize that this condition could actually be gingivitis

And this is important to know, because if you have gingivitis, you are actually in the early stages of full-blown gum disease!

Hi, my name is Dr. Dang. I’m a dentist right here in Philadelphia and I literally observe and battle hidden, undetected, & detected gingivitis on a daily basis for my patients.

I’m so glad you found this report. Because if you do have gingivitis, you need to take action asap and destroy it before it’s too late. Later, I’ll give you an opportunity to do just that. But first, let’s look at gingivitis more closely.

You see, gingivitis begins when you have a build-up of plaque ñ the white or light yellow film that constantly forms on your teeth.

Plaque occurs in the mouth naturally, and is normally harmless but if you donít brush and floss on a regular basis, plaque can turn deadly

Because when plaque is left sitting on your teeth for more than 12 hours at a time, toxins produced by the bacteria in plaque irritate the gums.

These toxins become an irritant that inflames your gums and leaves them feeling sore or sensitive ñ a condition called gingivitis.

And if left untreated, gingivitis can advance to periodontitis, a more serious condition

Periodontitis is the state when the body turns on itself in an attempt to treat the inflammation of gingivitis and it begins to break down and destroy the tissues and bone surrounding the teeth.

In other words, untreated gingivitis can result in tooth decay or even worse, permanent tooth loss!

But the good news is this: most cases of gingivitis are reversible with professional treatment.

Let me share with you the early warning signs of gingivitis, so you can tell if you are in the early stages of gum disease.

“Do You Have Early Warning Sign #1?”

Because the early stages of gum disease are generally painless, you could have gingivitis without even knowing it!

Gingivitis is usually caused by poor oral hygiene and a common misconception that many people have is that they couldnít possibly have a gum disease because they brush and floss their teeth often

But unfortunately, the vast majority of people arenít brushing and flossing properly!

This means that plaque isnít being removed from the teeth as well as it could be, which leaves the door open for plaque bacteria to irritate the gums.

One of the earliest warning signs of gingivitis is soft or swollen gums that bleed easily like when you apply even minimum pressure to floss or brush your teeth for example.

Again, thereís usually little or no discomfort at this stage

And itís also possible to have gums that arenít sore but that bleed easily in other words, sore gums and gums that bleed easily donít necessarily go hand in hand when it comes to gingivitis.

Many patients I have seen only realized their gums were bleeding after seeing that the bristles of their toothbrush were pink after brushing their teeth these patients had no pain symptoms at all.

Another indicator of possible gingivitis is a change in the color of your gums. Normally, healthy gums are a light pink color

But if you notice your gums have turned to a dusky red, itís wise that you immediately schedule a check-up with a qualified dentist.

“Do You Regularly Have These Side Effects?”

If you have a persistent breath odor, or if you have a bad taste in your mouth on a regular basis, chances are you are suffering from gingivitis.

The most common cause of persistent bad breath is gingivitis and the primary cause of gingivitis is poor oral hygiene!

Good oral hygiene involves brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing once a day.

Proper brushing and flossing means getting in between the teeth and behind the very back molars to remove any built-up plaque and dislodge any food that has become stuck there.

Itís important to be extremely thorough when you brush and floss, because food particles that remain between your teeth will start to break down over time, causing chronic bad breath.

Plus, these stuck food particles also create a nice little home for plaque bacteria to settle!

A build up of plaque

As plaque builds up, pockets of bacteria begin to form under the gum line, creating space between the gums and the teeth which in turn helps to trap MORE food as you eat!

Even if you brush twice a day and floss every night, this may not help to prevent gingivitis

Why? Because as I mentioned earlier, the majority of people who do brush and floss on a daily basis often donít do it correctly.

Sometimes, chronic bad breath can be caused by foods you eat, tobacco you smoke, medication you take, or even sulfur compounds originating from the back of your tongue (in which case a tool like a tongue brush comes in very handy)

But more often than not, chronic bad breath is one of the side effects of gingivitis.

Decay caused by gingivitis

For this reason, all chronic bad breath sufferers really should consult a dentist that deals with gingivitis.

It may just be bad breath today, but ñ if you have gingivitis and itís left untreated ñ it could be full blown tooth loss tomorrow!

“Most People Think This Side Effect Is Normal”

I mentioned earlier that as plaque builds up around the teeth, pockets of bacteria begin to form under the gum line, inflaming the gums and pushing them away from the teeth. This is a side effect called “long teeth”.

If you have this symptom, you  may not feel any discomfort, but if you look closely, you will notice that your teeth are looking ìlongerî

In other words, you may notice that as your gums are pulling away from your teeth (or ìrecedingî), more of the underlying tooth structure is being exposed

And this leaves your teeth looking longer than normal.

There are three major reasons why gums recede:

  1. General bone loss due to aging
  2. Applying too much pressure when you brush your teeth
  3. Gingivitis or a more advanced form of gum disease

Gingivitis is the major cause of gum recession, and at first, the recession may be so subtle that chances are you wonít notice it Iím talking millimeters here…

But itís usually only the trained eye of a qualified dentist that can spot such small changes in your gum line.

And if you are suffering from even the smallest amount of gum recession, itís downright crucial that you get treatment right away before the problem gets any worse

Receding gums before treatment

After treatment

The healing time from gum graft surgery can take up to SIX WEEKS but if your condition is spotted early on by a qualified Periodontist, it is possible to reverse the damage and spare yourself this treatment.

“Here’s Early Warning Sign #4″

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and realized you were clenching or grinding your teeth?

Or perhaps you clench your jaw when you feel stresses like when youíre trying to work out a difficult problem at the office for example?

If either of these scenarios rings true for you, it could be that you are a chronic teeth clencher or grinder (or even both), and this is important to note because these actions put a severe amount of pressure on the teeth and gums.

Many people donít realize just how powerful the pressure of the human bite is

And clenching or grinding your teeth puts an excessive amount of stress on the teeth and supporting tissues

If you are already suffering from even the mildest symptoms of gingivitis, this extra pressure on the teeth and gums can help to speed up the rate at which your gum tissues are being destroyed.

And the last thing you want to do is speed up potential tooth loss!

If you think you may be a nighttime teeth clencher or grinder or if you notice that you do either of these things during the day itís strongly recommended that you visit us right away to catch and treat any gum or bone damage as early as possible.

Finally gums that are painless, except when touched is also a sign of gingivitis.

So what do you do if you have any of the signs?

That leads me to the next step…

“Here’s Your Next Step to Healthy, Happy Teeth and Gums”

Did you know that nearly 80% of American adults have early warning signs of gingivitis?

If your gums are swollen, tender or bleed easily or if you have chronic bad breath or ìlongî looking teeth or youíre a clencher or grinderor you have gums that are painless, except when touched – chances are you have the early stages of more serious gum disease.

Gingivitis is one of the most common forms of gum disease, and can affect just one tooth or many teeth at the same time.

And if left untreated, gingivitis can progress into full-blown periodontitis, a much more severe gum disease that can result in tooth decay or even worse, permanent tooth loss!

But because early-stage gum disease ñ gingivitis ñ is usually painless, itís entirely possible that you could have gingivitis without even knowing it.

And this is why itís SO important that you get checked as soon as possible to catch gum disease as early as you can!
